5002 - Import of Mulberry Raw Silk permitted as per condition given below. Following procedure shall be adopted:

(i) Imports permitted only through the ports of Calcutta, Chennai, and Mumbai.

(ii) For the purpose of verification of the grade of the imported silk, the Custom authorities shall accept the Certificate issued by any of the internationally recognised agencies to be notified in this regard. Where there is no such certificate the Custom authorities shall draw samples from the import consignment as per procedure prescribed by Central Silk Board and testing will be carried out by Central Silk Board as per procedure laid down by International Silk Association.

(iii) Customs Authorities could send weekly report to the Ministry of Textiles on the quantity and value of import of such raw silk.

7609 - Goods in this heading capable of being used as consumer goods are not allowed to be imported freely. They will be treated as restricted consumer goods.

7902 - Import permitted to Unit registered with Ministry of Environment & Forest, Govt. of India, on Actual User basis, up to the annual quantity limits indicated in the registration certificate.

8901 - Import of ships, vessels, boats and other coastal water transport craft may be made without a licence on the basis of approval or guidelines issued by the Ministry of Surface Transport, Government of India. Import of Trawlers may be made without a licence on the basis of approval or guidelines issued by the Ministry of Food Processing Industry, Government of India. Old ships, vessels, etc., for the purpose of breaking, are freely importable.

  I.     Any item required for the specific purpose or use in connection with ship building , and the import of which has been shown as restricted in the ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import items may be imported without an import licence by the industrial undertakings engaged in ship building, subject to actual user condition.

II.     Any item required for the specific purpose or use in connection with ship repairing and the import of which has been shown as restricted in the ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import items, may be imported without any import licence by ship repairing unit, duly registered with the Director General (Shipping), Mumbai (working in customs bonded premises), subject to actual user condition and also subject to such conditions as may be notified by the Deptt. of Revenue from time to time in this regard.

8902 - Imports subject to approval or guidelines issued by Deptt. of Animal Husbandry and Dairying

9500 - Recreational bodies may be granted licence for import of restricted items to the extent of 15% of the foreign exchange earned by them through their membership, subscription and other dues received in foreign exchange. Such licences shall be granted for the import of goods essential for their own use. An application for grant of such licence may be made in the form <RIL_APPLCN_FORM> to the Director General of foreign Trade alongwith documents prescribed therein.
